[3-2]  17” Kley & Hahn 546 Character Child with glass eyes.Wonderful original example of a very endearing child.  Perfect bisque, great modeling, brown glass sleep eyes, perfectly painted features and big huge pouty lips to envy.  Original auburn braided wig and pate.  Matching slip and undies.  Her outfit is that of a typical school girl of the times.  White leather antique shoes and socks.  Her antique straw burgundy hat completes her.

The store card translates as follows:  “ Guyon Company, Specializing in fine dolls, baby dolls and unbreakable dolls.  Hats, trousseaux, outfits and shoes, miscellaneous items.  “New elegant and affordable,(Bon Marche)”. We do repairs and deliver outside of Paris”.  Masion Guyot 6 1/2" super little K * R 192 walker girl, is surrounded on both sides with an assortment of darling sized fripperies. Comb and brush, watch, binoculars, mirror, necklace, purse, bottles, etc.  Exquisite clothes are on the inner cover, and lift the tray to find all her undies, bedclothes and chapeaus. Finest workmanship, a sight to behold. The trunk itself is a work of art. Leather straps adorned by metal clasps. Brass handles on both sides for lifting. 8" L X 6" W and 4 1/2" D. Just opening it is breathtaking.

[3-6]  12” Effanbee “Grumpykins” Circa 1927 with UFDC Ribbon.  One look and you will know why this little Grumpy won a ribbon in competition at UFDC in Washington DC this year.  Pristine example looks like he just walked out of the factory! Marked on back of shoulder plate: Effanbee Dolls, Walk Talk Sleep. Composition head and shoulder plate, jointed composition limbs and a stuffed cloth body with a non working crier. Just look at that face! Factory original from tip to toe.

[3-7]  No collection is complete without a Santa, and this one is truly a show stopper. One of the most beautiful ones we have ever had. Her costume of pink moiré taffeta (not sure of the spelling) artfully designed and beautifully carried out with white flower appliqués on the sides of the bodice. She wears her original wig under her lavish hat, which frames, her big brown eyes and flawless bisque, enhanced by the faux boa, her shoes and undies appear to be all original. She is 28”.

She wears her diaper, but comes with an antique gown, slip and bonnet.  She also comes with her too precious pink vintage cradle, (8” L x 4 1/2” W x 6”H), crochet blanket, pink mattress with tiny quilted cover and a satin pillow. Just a charming little cherub.
